Wander

Personal Art | May 05, 2016

It’s been a while since I used acrylic to paint. I haven’t practiced in a long time I was worried I wasn’t gonna pull this off so easily. But it’s a good thing that this medium is forgiving and I was able to come up with something I’m quite happy about. *whew*

Wander”  /  acrylic on wood  /  May 2016

“Wander” is such a common word these days. Many like myself are enjoying the explore and escape mentality that going on regular (mini) adventures has become a trend. I don’t think it’s a bad thing. Personally, I’ve grown so busy that taking a break once in a while to travel and see the world has become a necessity. I’ve also realised that life outside needs to be felt and experienced and that the best time for this is now. So, I’m going for it. Now while I’m still young, now while I still can.

“I know a girl from whose body sunbeams rose to the clouds as if they’d fallen from the sun. Her laugh was like a bangle of bells. “Your hair is wet,” I told her one day, “Did you take a bath?” “It is dew!” she laughed, “I’ve been lying in the grass. All morning long, I lay here waiting for the dawn.”
